PACE WORKSHOP - How to keep your Mojo going
07 May 2011
9.30am-5.00pm
Wellesley Hotel

NOT TO BE MISSED

At our workshop we will be exploring a range of topics all around How to keep your MOJO going especially in times of change

It is important to understand yourself and what you stand for so we will also look at your personal impact and ‘brand’.

We will have some conversation around interpersonal skills and how to refresh our communication skills to get what we want – or more importantly getting the boss to say YES to us.

In the afternoon we will consider the actual work that we do, and look at a tool that will help us understand the value we bring to a business and assess how we could increase our value offer and wrap the formal learning up with some planning and management thoughts around your role and helping others get organised as well.

In between the formal part of the day we will have some interactive activities to get us moving and prizes will be awarded!

NOTE - A registration fee of $10 will apply

Keeping Healthy
Keeping Healthy
26 Apr 2011
Dr Louise Hockley.
James Cook Hotel.
From Back to Back Living Chiropractic A Creating Wellness Centre. “Coffee, Stress & Me” looks at why so many of us have gone from enjoying coffee (and other caffeinated products like V, Red Bull etc) to needing them to get going in the morning and function all day.

We use coffee as an insight into both our body’s response to stress and its role in instigating the stress response!

Stress kills! We explore the science of stress is an accessible & relevant way. Such as: cholesterol increases, blood pressure goes up, blood glucose levels increase, immunity is lowered, short-term memory is affected, anxiety & depression increase.

We then explore 5 simple ways to improve your resilience. These are simple ideas that can be implemented into people’s life without creating havoc!

Finally we encourage everyone to remember that coffee is one of life’s pleasures.
