We all need shoes, even though some New Zealanders may not agree! In our professional life I believe that footwear is as important as the clothes that we wear- sometimes more important as they need to be stylish as well as comfortable. They say something about us. We have a vibrant speaker for this month- Angela Buswell from MINX shoes.
‘Angela Buswell has worked in the shoe industry in one form or another from a young age, working in her stepfather’s Waikanae shoe factory after school and during the holidays. She has also done an apprenticeship in shoe manufacturing before going abroad to study Footwear Design and Technology at De Montford University in Leicester.
“I really enjoyed being part of a process and seeing an end product being made…walking down the street and actually seeing a product that I had a hand in making was huge,” says Angela. Angela will be with us today to tell her fascinating story of how Minx started and has grown into what it is today.’
